Created in 2003, itk is a R&D company including 48 highly educated employees (PhD and Master level). itk connects the scientific research to the agricultural production by designing efficient decision support tools (DST). These DST integrate many data about seeds, soils, weather and inputs. The objective is to guide their customers towards agroecology.
Within the engineering school ENSEIRB-MATMECA in Talence (33), close to Bordeaux Sciences Agro, itk now has an office which will help buildnew partnerships (R&D, technological or economic). In Aquitaine, the company will first address the wine market thanks to its software itkVigne, the first tool that makes it easy tomanage vine stress without sensors.
Vitivista (wine trade) is the first partner to have tested the solution, the results obtained are very convincing. This company intends to propose itkVigne for wine growers who are looking for advice in order to secure their production.
