Philippe Stoop, the research and innovation director of iTK, was auditioned on 8 March 2018 in the Senate by the OPECST (Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices), as part of a mission on the evaluation plant protection products. This interview was an opportunity to formulate proposals for a better understanding of the apparent contradictions between the agencies ‘opinions and the results of the research (strengthening of the agencies’ powers, to verify or duplicate the research work requiring confirmation), and for the realization of a CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) of pesticides, with equal agricultural area, but also with equal production.
